I want people to understand that they shouldn't be judged if they couldn't or did not feel comfortable attending the Women's March.
Some of the reasons as to why persons might not have been able to attend:
- afraid of repercussions (either as disadvantaged persons or coming from countries where protesters do face harsh retribution)
- disability got in the way
- no transportation
- had to work
- are pregnant or have kids and are afraid they may be injured
- didn't feel represented by the organizers
I need to work on fleshing these ideas out and I'm sure there are other reasons but at least I'm getting some thoughts out.
